Farland Bottoms, CLU, Ph.D:

Began in the insurance business in Denver, Colorado, March 3, 1973, with the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. In his first year as an agent, was named Rookie of the Year for Colorado, as well as being named Distinguished Life Underwriter by the Denver Association of Life Underwriters.

Initially worked with independent oil and gas operators as an estate planning specialist, until the energy crisis slowed down the oil and gas community in 1983. At that point, he began working with the physicians of Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as a disability insurance specialist. From there he was appointed as the broker of record for the four hospital chain of Porter Adventist Hospitals as their insurance specialist.

Since that time, he has established himself and his agency as a medical malpractice specialty firm. With access to over 60 markets, his agency, Doctors' Insurance Agency, can provide physicians in both Colorado and Wyoming with the most competitive malpractice rates. For physicians with claims issues, his agency has access to the major markets for the best competitive rates.

Janis Bottoms:

The Customer Services Representative for the agency, is a former school teacher who has been working with Farland for the past 5 years assisting his clients with their service needs.

A.J. McCanick:

The Information Technology specialist for the agency has over 25 years of computer experience working for such local companies as Mass Mutual and the federal government. AJ is responsible for design of marketing and sales materials, as well as computer support.
